I don't know about you, but this month has already been a trip and this is the 3rd day in this month for me. May is going to be chaotic I feel.
Early Wednesday morning, my 8 year old son got a stomach bug which wasn't good, of course. So I couldn't focus much on that day for readings. He was finally able to keep food down around 3:30pm MST. It was also hard for him to keep water down. But was able to do both.
I've been juggling with ideas for rates and pricing for my current readings and wanting to add recorded video and stream readings. I've been asked about this and looked into it by asking my mentor.
When I told her my pricing and rates, the look she gave me over Skype was disgust. Her opinion with what I offer, plus certifications in angel guide, angel tarot, and moonology, she felt I need to be at industry standard since my readings also focus on channeling and spiritual healing/coaching. She believes that I should charge $200 an hour for email readings. $300 an hour for recorded video and $400 an hour for streaming live readings. While I appreciate her input, it doesn't seem right. So I began researching.
Some sites I found charge $5-6 per minute for recorded video that's between 3-5 minutes long. But, keep in mind that the psychic isn't getting that amount due to that platform site fees.
So I'm currently working on my rates for these services and how long it takes roughly for readings. I will be doing an increase in rates starting next month, June, but I'm gonna consider a few things first.
I will be adding new readings to my etsy shop that will show the new pricing. Especially recorded and live stream video.
I am also considering doing discounts after the 30 minute mark.
Recorded video will be uploaded as a private link giving to the client.
Streaming live readings will be done on Google Meet and can be recorded and sent to the client if they wish for it.
Pricing is what I'm currently working on.
I'm thinking:
Email/Etsy: $2/minute or $120 an hour.
Recorded video/Etsy: $4/minute or $240 an hour.
Live stream/Etsy: $6/minute or $360 an hour.
Now after 30 minutes I'll do discounts and I'm determining those amounts now.
I have a fellow psychic friend that is gonna be my guinea pig of sorts 😆. I'm going to see how long 1 question readings are by email, recorded video, and streaming live then price them by how long it takes me to make it happen. Then get her opinion as well. 😁
I've been told I need to step up my game and to make sure that people know I take this profession seriously.
I'm also going to be creating Dark Feminine Alchemy readings as well. This is for those who do not feel they are whole. That they are afraid. Maybe being a people pleaser? Maybe caring too much what others think of them? These readings/coaching sessions are meant to empower clients to actually see their worth. To know they do not need others approval. To know the are enough and more.
I'm really excited about this venture and I'm also going to reveal my own experiences of feeling less than as well.
I will be doing most of this in my Facebook group. Know that yes, I'm gonna be selling in that group, but I'm gonna offer some freebies so members can know I'm the real deal.
